Kenwood chef food processor control module |
Kenwood Chef Food processor
The Kenwood Chef food processor was first launched at a London show in the year of 1950 by Ken Wood.
It will be unfair to call it just a mixer as it presents with numerous functions thus the referral to it now as a Food-Processor.
Planetary Action
What makes the Kenwood unique is its planetary action. This means while the beater is revolving in one direction - the socket is turning in the opposite direction. This action makes sure that all the mixtures are pickup from the bowl
The following three bowl tools are the most famous and the ones that get to be used most often.
- The Wisk; Its balloon shape tool and creates maximum volume. It also mixes in a lot of air to create a fluffy texture. This is perfect for morranges, soflays and mouses.
- The Dough hook; Ideal for mixing a smooth bread mix. Makes great sweet bakes like buns, doughnuts and pastry.
- The K-Beater; Mixes my favorite “Fruitcakes” and also sponge cakes. Also great for mixing biscuits and pastry.
I will tell you more about this great machines in a follow up post right now my cravings is driving me up the wall
Happy Baking (Contact me if you need a tester)
